It’s no secret that I don’t exactly adore the adaptation, but it introduced me to a book series I love, led to many interesting conversations and a few bonding sessions with new friends, and made me appreciate storytelling in ways I mayhaps would never have explored.

Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 5 Review

This could have been a great hour of television if I hadn’t actually followed the story for a decade. There were spectacular visuals, but very little emotional substance to be found beyond frustration and pure flaming hot anger. (Though the Arya scenes were excellent)

Star Trek Discovery – Season 2, Episode 10: A Lamb to Slaughter

This was one of the best, if not the best Discovery episodes to date. It had everything. A woman trying to mend a relationship by hitting on both the gay partners. A funeral I could have cried a lot harder at. Time travel shenanigans. Michael Burnham dying to save humanity from its sins. MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS! Sorry about the All Caps I’m just really excited.
